Media/Terrorists ... I think they're the same inside!

It was another sad day today. Cowardly, faceless cowards, placed bombs in several places in Guwahati, and other towns and cities in Assam. So far reports say that over 60 people have lost their lives and 350+ have been injured.

My only question is, what do they gain out of this?

Some days ago, it was serial blasts that rocked the capital, and then 2 weeks later in the same city 2 children lost their lives when another bomb exploded. What was the children's fault?

Also, I would like to know why is it that when bombs exploded in New Delhi, it was the only thing on the news for the next couple of days. How come, when bombs explode in a city in North East, it only shows as a scrolling piece of text at the bottom of the TV screen showing double 100's made by our cricketers?

If I am not mistaken the death toll in today's blasts in Assam are more than 3 times that in Delhi. Then is it that the lives of the people in the capital more valuable? Or is it the media just interested in their TRP ratings and not really on the news? What do the people in the country know of the North East? That it is a terrorist infested, uncivilized land!! All thanks to our media...

If it is that way, then honestly the media folks are just as bad as the ones who laid these bombs. One creates a divide using explosives, and the other creates a divide by showing the world a distorted image of a beautiful land.
